Replacement of Staff Email System and Service Interruption Notice

 

Computer Service Centre has scheduled to migrate the staff email server to a new system this weekend (Sat & Sun). The new email system will provide greater email storage space (2GB per user) and a new Webmail user interface. Since all staff mails will be migrated to the new system, all email services will be suspended during this period. Users will not be able to read mail or to compose message. New messages will be received in the new system after the migration.

Period:
Oct. 16 (Sat.) 12am to Oct. 18 (Mon.) 8am
Reminder: The following settings will not be migrated to the new system, user must reconfigure these settings in the new system:
  - Email forwarding
  - Vacation auto-reply
  - e-mail address book in Webmail

更換教職員電郵系統及服務中斷通告

  茲通知資訊中心將安排於本週六(公眾假期)及週日更換教職員電郵系統,新電郵系統將提供更大的電郵儲存空間(每人2GB)並採用全新的網上電郵(Webmail)介面。由於所有教職員電郵須遷移至新系統,故在下列期間電郵服務會暫停運作,用戶將不能讀取郵件或寄出新郵件,但新郵件會在系統完成更換後接收。

服務中斷期間: 10月16日(週六)凌晨零時至10月18日(週一)早上8時
注意事項: 以下設定將不會遷移至新系統,用戶需在新系統重新設定:
  - 電郵轉寄
  - 放假自動回覆
  - Webmail電郵地址簿
