Troubleshooting (before you seek help from the helpdesk)
1. Projector does not turn on with remote control.
Check if:

- Are there batteries in the remote? Are the batteries charged? If not, please contact your school administration office. You will need 2 AA batteries.

- Is the remote turned on? (this remote control has an on / off feature)

- Is the remote pointed at the projector and not at the screen?

2. Projector is on but there is no display.
Check if:

- The device you want to display (either Desktop computer, VCR, laptop, CD/DVD) is turned on. For notebook computers, consult with the computer manual to output display to external monitor.

- The correct source is selected from the remote (either Comp1, Comp2, Video, S-Video)

- The connection cables are firmly and correctly attached in the connection panel. Check the correct connections above.

3. The computer display is not correct.
Check if:

- your display setting does not match the projector. You may need to change the resolution in the computer.

When nothing works
1. When the LCD projector and/or the desktop computer do not work after the trouble shooting steps mentioned, you may contact your school administrative office or security office (the Centre will be making arrangement with school administrative office of each campus to equip at least one set of standby demo. unit) to check out a standby demonstration unit (which contains a trolley with a desktop computer, a LCD projector and electrical power extension cord) to temporarily resolve your lecture needs. You are then responsible to plug in the electrical sockets of the computer and LCD projector yourself in order to use the demo unit (you may request a demo on doing this with our lab. assistants at A203).
2. After using the standby demonstration unit, you must make arrangement to return the standby demonstration unit to the school administrative office/security office. Should there be a lecture right after yours that would also need the standby demo unit, you should inform the next lecturer and also the administrative office/security office about the arrangement and responsibility of returning the unit.
3. You should request the school administrative office to report the problem to helpdesk ( helpdesk@ipm.edu.mo) immediately to schedule follow-up action to fix the problem.

Note: When something breaks or disappears please, inform the Helpdesk and the school administrator immediately.

Let us know what improvements you would like to see in the classroom or in our service.
