Studio4Learning.tv provides free access to short video clips in a wide reange of subjects: an excellent source for short video clips from a wide range of subjects: Math, Sciences, Languages, English, Social Sciences, Business, Arts. Registration is not required to access the videos. "Anyone can watch videos. If you register (again, free), you can bookmark videos and playlists you want to come back to, upload your own UGC versions of class topics, download playlists and videos to your iPod, rate videos, compete in contests, and get our eNewsletter."

The history of the Internet

"History of the Internet" is an animated documentary explaining the inventions from time-sharing to filesharing, from Arpanet to Internet. The clip shows a brief overview
of this history and shall animate to go on discovering the history of the internet.
The history is told using the PICOL icons on picol.org. PICOL is an project for providing free and open icons for electronic devices.
The aim is to find a common pictorial language for electronic communication".
Academic Earth
“Academic Earth is an organization founded with the goal of giving everyone on earth access to a world class education." It provides access to videos from MIT, Stanford, Berkeley, Harvard, Princeton, and Yale, some of them grouped into courses. Subjects include Computer Science,
Economics, English, Social Sciences. Users can "easily find, interact with, and learn from full video courses and lectures from the world’s leading scholars".
ARTNATOMY
"ARTNATOMY is a Flash interactive english/spanish tool. It is intended to facilitate the teaching and learning of the anatomical and biomechanical foundation of facial expression morphology. The primary goal is to provide the student and those interested, a convenient reference tool, facilitating familiarity and experimentation with the underlying anatomical structures using correct biomechanical representation of the different facial expressions." Originally designed for art students, it can also be used by teachers/students of psychology.
VerbaLearn
This is a web site for practicing and improving English vocabulary. First, you take quizzes to identify the words you do not know. Each word answered incorrectly during the quiz will appear on your next Studylist. "Listen to an MP3 version of your personalized Studylist on your computer or MP3 player"

Lovely Charts
This online diagramming application "allows you to create professional looking diagrams of all kinds, such as flowcharts, sitemaps, organisational charts, wireframes, for free". Generated charts may be exported as JPEG or PNG files. The free account allows to create and export as many charts as you want, but restricts saving only one chart for future editing. Check the Gallery to have a look at the type of diagrammes it generates.

Free Audio Editor 2009
Free Audio Editor handles common audio formats (from MP3 and WMA to WAV and OGG) and allows to "edit audio files visually, record audio from a microphone or any other available input device, apply various effects, CD ripping/burning".
